By Car:

From the Beltway (I-495): Take Exit #29, University Boulevard (Route 193) -- eastbound. Turn right on East Franklin Avenue (1st traffic light). The Church of Christ building will be on your left.· · Alternatively, take Exit #30B, Colesville Road -- southbound. Turn left at the first traffic light onto Franklin Avenue (Rte. 516). Go through the first traffic light (cross street Flower Avenue) and the church of Christ building will be on your right.

From Washington, D.C.: Proceed north on 16th Street. At the D.C./Maryland line traffic light, veer right on Colesville Road (Route 29) -- northbound. Go through downtown Silver Spring. At the 8th traffic light, turn right on Franklin Avenue (Rte. 516). Go through the first traffic light (cross street Flower Avenue), and the church of Christ building will be on your right.

Parking: Free parking is available in the church parking lot. Additional on-street parking is available on residential side streets.

By Ride-On Bus:

Mission Trip To Honduras
Lauren Hamilton is planning on going on a mission trip to Honduras this Spring 2012 to Por Los Niños Children's Home. She went on this trip this past Spring and it has forever changed her life for the better. She will be going on this trip with a group of other Harding University students and they plan on working there as they believe God has called them to do. She will need to raise $1,500 in order to go on this trip and pay for the upcoming needs of the children there. She would greatly appreciate any donations and most importantly your prayers for the work being done there. Anyone interested in helping Lauren can email her at lhamilto@harding.edu for any additional questions they may have.

Snow or Inclement Weather Closing Policy
In case of bad weather and/or power failures at our church building location the elders may deem it advisable to cancel Services or Bible Classes. The decision to do so will be given to the secretaries at the office and put on the telephone line. Please press 5 for the inclement weather message. In case of a power failure and the telephone being inoperative, please try calling one of the elders for the decision or checking the church website. You can also get the churches closing information from WTTG Fox 5 News Channel.

2012 Laurel Bible Bowl
Mark your calendars! The 2012 Laurel Bible Bowl will be held Saturday, March 10, 2012. The questions will be taken from Matthew 1-14. Please contact Bro. Joseph Anderson for more information.

Bible Bowl Help!
Are you looking for a quick one time service project? Starting in January, the Bible Bowl participants practice every Saturday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We are looking for volunteers to donate lunch for these hard working Bible Scholars! If you see this as a project you could handle just sign up for the Saturday you are willing to bring lunch. The sign-up sheet is in the foyer. For more information pleas see Linda Whitley.

Children's Coat & Shoe Drive
We are collecting children's shoes and coats again this year beginning this Sunday, November 20th. This effort is in cooperation with Linkages to Learning, which is the MCPS organization that we work with to collect school supplies each year. Please bring NEW shoes only. Coats may be gently used but should be laundered and ready to wear. All sizes are welcome for both shoes and coats. Donations should be placed in the collection box in the foyer. Monetary donations are also welcome. Please make checks payable to Silver Spring Church of Christ. If you have questions, please contact Mary Wilson or Dianthe Clemons.
